The Village of Holymoorside near Chesterfield

We are a voluntary local community arts organisation. Throughout the year we present a variety of arts events including music, drama, exhibitions and film screenings.

Most events are hosted at Holymoorside Village Hall in Holymoor Road, S42 7DX, at the heart of the village, where you can expect a warm welcome.

The Great Outdoors

Friday 9th March & Saturday 10th March 2018 at 7.30pm

“The Great Outdoors” – a comedy drama in two acts by Freda Bowman

A local Society meets together in their Village Hall. Presided over by the tyrannical Mrs. Fenella Castleford, they discuss proposals for an adventurous expedition. The meeting is fraught from the start and everything ends in near-chaos.

Meet best-selling crime novelist SARAH WARD, author of the DC Childs crime series set in the Derbyshire Peak District.

Sarah lives in the Derbyshire Peak District and her experience of the landscape has influenced the setting of her work. She captures the atmosphere of the places because she knows them well.

Sidelines - Latest Edition

This local events publication is distributed quarterly to every household in the parish of Holymoorside and Walton.

Editions cover December – February;  March – May;  June – August and September – November

Local organisations and groups can advertise their activities along with an events calendar.

Sidelines is self-funding and a modest charge is made to appear in the pages.
